Steve Warner at Beaver Lake Report www.beaverlake6.com has pointed me to an interesting report from a Korean newspaper regarding a Korean yarn spinning company acquiring Buhler Quality Yarns of Jefferson, GA:   Read the press release here…

AKC Note: Buhler is a specialty yarn spinner with a strong presence in fine count yarns, specialty viscose yarns, Supima cotton and others. A division of a 200+ year old Swiss company the US operation was established in 1996.The linked article is interesting in the perspective that it supplies on the motivation for the purchase by the Korean company, trade policy of the new administration apparently counting very highly. This continues a trend of overseas corporate investments in the US textile industry which started in Q4 2016.
