Darwin Godwin established ACCU-OIL Systems in 1987 after the successful development of a multi-stream Peristaltic Metering Pump. This Pump delivered an accurate flow from each stream with a substantially reduced pulse as compared to a normal peristaltic pump. U.S. Patent #4 834 630 was issued on May 30, 1989 which covers the unique design of the Pump.

The first of the new Metering Pumps to be placed in service were used in metering applications for spinfinishes containing Fluro-chemicals which were used mainly in Carpet Yarn or Upholstery Yarn Processes. Some Pumps remain in service in such Processes. Many others however have been placed in service in various Processes throughout the Textile Industry. Some of these are:

  • Metering Water for the Bi-Application of Water/Neet Oil.
  • Metered Water Application for wetting yarn prior to its entering the spindle or crimper in order to enhance crimp.
  • Metering Application of Emulsions or Solutions containing very low amounts of solids.
  • Metering Application of Anti-stat to Industrial Filament FiberGlass.
  • Metering Size to Textile Filament FiberGlass.
  • Metering Application for Fugitive Tint for Spun or BCF Yarns.

The Standard Model is normally suitable for the primary and/or secondary application of spinfinish on filament or spun yarns.
